Achievements

  • Leading  the development of the world's first coupled mode data assimilation  system, representing NOAA to participate the IPCC-AR5, as the only  system that could seamlessly produce seasonal-interannual to  interdecadal predictions

  • Leading  the studies on the theory and algorithm of coupled model parameter  estimation to alleviate the influence of systematic errors of climate  models on climate estimation and prediction

  • Leading the studies on the impact of typhoon’s initialization on climate analysis and prediction
